Generic Sportbike

A 3D Model created with a professional workflow in mind.

Beauty shot of the Generic Sport Bike

This 3D model was created in response to many purchasers needs for a generic looking sport bike—studios tend to anonymize models used in production.

Games like Burnout, and T.V. Shows such as The Works tend to remove graphics, choose unused paint colors, and even go as far as mirroring and warping geometry to obfuscate the models being used. Often, they use fictional brands. That's where the Generic Sport Bike comes in.

  • Has an original facade, a design born from trends at the time.
  • A reliable representation of a sport bike.
  • Meticulously modeled with subdivision in mind. It's composed of only quadrangles, and there are loops to keep the edge detail tight.
  • The scene is broken into over 300 objects and hierarchically organized.
  • It is extremely easy to repaint the bodywork and or apply decals.
  • The model has a mixuture of UV mapped and unmapped objects.

Hierarchy

I wanted to build something that was both useful and amazingly detailed. After having seen how my bike models were utilized in the past, I got a good idea of what customers consider a suitable level of detail.
